Nishikidaini Park or Oni Park
And if you loved the other retro suburban playgrounds like I do, this Devil slide at Nishikidaini Park or Oni Park (Oni means devil) also won’t disappoint either.
The park doesn’t have a lot of greenery and the playground is definitely the main feature.
It is in the back streets in Tachikawa in a little block called Nishikidani.
There is one public restroom, two slides (down the devil’s face), two swings and two wobbly ride on pieces of equipment.
The train line can be seen from the park too and my kids loved all the different coloured trains that wizzed by.
This park is about an hour out of Tokyo city centre and 10 minutes drive from Showa Kinen Park and Ikea Tachikawa.
How cool is this guy?

Also, There is a cute hamburger diner right on the corner of the park at a restaurant called Deliciers.
They were fantastic with kids and the burgers were really good!
We went in Winter and I loved that the outdoor terrace was also heated.
