This blog post is still a work in progress but here are some family-friendly options worth noting at Kansai International Airport (KIX as it is also referred to) when travelling with kids.
Did you know that there is a playcentre within Kansai International Airport? I’ve written about it here.
There is also a day spa / onsen at Kansai Airport too? It is called Aquaignis.
They have indoor and outdoor baths. Children are also welcome (kids under 3 are free) – no diapers or swim diapers allowed. They can provide baby baths for small children.
Children 8 and older cannot bath with the parent of the opposite gender .
Onsen use is 1000 yen per person (and 100 yen to rent a towel.)
Aquaignis accept most major credit cards.
Call ahead of time if you would also like to reserve a massage while here too.
Aquaignis is open 24 hours a day.
Tonkatsu Wako (tonkatsu restaurant) can be found in Terminal 1 of Kansai Airport. They have high chairs here.
They do accept most major credit cards.
See the full Tonkatsu Wako menu in English here. And the adorable kids menu plates here. Each kids meal comes with a small toy.
