DONKEY KONG COUNTRY WITH KIDS

The new section of USJ is Donkey Kong Country opened Dec 11,2024. It is expected to be extremely busy up until at least June, 2025.

Without an express pass to access this new area, I would be careful promising kids that they will get to see this area at all (sorry!)

You can, however, line up super early and make a run for it as soon as gates open to Universal Studios Japan.  Entry is, of course, not guaranteed at this stage.
Timed Entry lottery may be an option for less crowded days -but this is also a gamble.

Much like Super Nintendo World, several sections are quite interactive (kids can play the bongo drums in the same way they can tap the boxes at the Mario section of SNW.)

The wristbands in Super Nintendo World also work in Donkey Kong Country (you can buy the Donkey Kong themed options instead though, if you’d prefer.)

There is only one ride at Donkey Kong Country.  It’s a rollercoaster and it is very short but is well done.  Because of the long wait times, I really don’t recommend visiting this section with small children until the novelty and newness of this area wears off a bit.
