DRESS UP BOX

DRESS UP BOX

This is not an advertisement at all. I just wanted to share this cuteness and beautiful work by a very talented creative Tokyo Mummy, Mioko Mochizuki.
Mioko’s background is in apparel and costume design and her exquisite taste and attention to detail shows in her work – in her stunning business ‘Dress Up Box.’

Mioko moved back to Japan in 2012 with her young family – they were previously living in New York and, before that, she studied Fashion Design in Boston.   Learn more about Mioko Mochizuki here.

I adore her new collection.

I also love how she makes her brand all about creativity and exploration.  She recently held a pop-up event in Takashimaya Department Store in Nihonbashi and the event included beautiful colouring and craft activities for children. Well, not just children as I couldn’t help but also have a turn next to my 5 year old.
I’ll be talking and attending Mioko’s future events but I recommend following her on instagram @dressupbox.jp to keep up with what is going on. She has just a quiet but warm way of making everyone feel welcome and really encourages artistic exploration in others.

How cute are these little fabric collages?
I’m actually going to frame the one my daughter made.
