Joypolis is located on man-made reclaimed land “Odaiba” inside of a shopping mall called Decks.
It can be found on floors 3-5 and is entirely indoors.
I really don’t recommend this place for small children (instead for kids under 10 I recommend going to the really fun games arcade on the 4th floor of the same shopping mall instead.)
To be completely transparent. I think this place is VERY over-rated. An indoor theme park sounds cool ? But I think it’s cool if you live in Tokyo to try once. There are other better arcades and theme parks in Japan – in my opinion.
Please be sure to check the Joypolis website before going as, sometimes due to technical/electrical faults the centre is closed for the day or a half day.
Kids under the age of 6 , or people over 60 years old, can enter for free – but it does cost money to play games or ride rides.
Please note that children who are less than 110 cms tall must be accompanied by a parent/guardian.
There are discounts for visiting during the month of your birthday (but only when tickets are bought on the day.)
See here for ticket prices for Joypolis. It is possible to purchase an all you can ride “passport” or an entry only free and then most rides are between 600-1000 yen per ride.
It is possible to also buy tickets in advance via Klook.
See here for the live wait times for the attractions at Joypolis.
Most rides are only in Japanese – except for the Joypolis Explorer which is available in English .
