AUTUMN CRAFTS FROM THE TWO JAPANESE CREATIVE MUMS OF LITTLE ARTISTS LEAGUE

A few months ago we participated in the Little Artists League’s Monet workshop and it was so cute!

For more workshops like this one see all of the details at the bottom of this post.I feel really lucky that these two creative Japanese Mummies are sharing one of their Autumn crafts with me and my blog readers.
Please be sure to tag me or Little Artists Leagues if you try these craft suggestions for yourself.
LITTLE ARTISTS LEAGUES’ “MAKE ART BE HAPPY!”
Simple and easy crafts for Moms & kids
Have you heard of the Japansese phrase GEIJYUTSU NO AKI? It means “Autumn for the Arts”. There’s also DOKUSHO NO AKI (Autumn for reading) SHOKUYOKU NO AKI (Autumn for eating)
Yes, the Japanese Love doing things in the Autumn. After the hot hot summer who wouldn’t?
Anyways back to the Arts. Why not make these super cute ANIMAL FINGER PUPPETS with your kids at home this Autumn?

LITTLE ARTSITS LEAGUE will show you how! Things you’ll need:
-Card board paper -yarn of any color -googly eyes (always a bonus) -scissors
-color markers or crayons -hole punch

-glue or staples (you can find any and all of these materials at a 100yen store or a crafts store such as Tokyu Hands & Yuzawaya.)

How to make your very own ANIMAL FINGER PUPPETS

1. Cut out cardboard into animal shapes.
Animals with a mane such as lions and horses are cute for this project. It’s easier to string the mane if body and head are separate.

2. Color your animals using markers or crayons 3. Mark along the edge of the head where you want to place the mane and hole punch

4. Loop and string yarn through all the holes (don’t forget the tail!)

5. Cut out four holes on the bottom the body for your child’s fingers

6. Put on your own Finger Puppet Show!

Enjoy!
