ONE OF MY FAVOURITE PLACES TO EAT IN OSAKA: WITH OR WITHOUT KIDS

ONE OF MY FAVOURITE PLACES TO EAT IN OSAKA: WITH OR WITHOUT KIDS

I am often asked for dining options in Osaka and, although the alleyways and wondering down the many shotengai ( long. local shopping arcade/streets) or grabbing street food around Dotombori is amazing (highly recommend!) it can be hard to find a sit down meal ( and especially if everyone in your group wants to eat something different!)
I will always recommend taking a short walk from Osaka or Umeda Station to  The Grand Front Osaka.

Please note that I try and keep this information as up to date as possible. For the most recent information see the Grand Front Restaurant and Floor Guide here.

The easiest floor of this complex for food is the 6th floor.
See below for other restaurants that are smoke free and have high chairs.

Okay.   I’m going to start with the 6th floor first!

THE BEST BIT! THE 6TH FLOOR (NORTH BUILDING) OF GRAND FRONT OSAKA!!!
Almost all restaurants on this floor are open from 11AM – 4AM!

The 6th floor is the main reason that I recommend this space over others.
As someone with fussy kids (well, actually only one of them is a fuss pot) it is so frustrating when we have to hit a child-friendly restaurant when there is all this amazing new food that I am dying to try.
The 6th floor is made up of restaurants around the outside with beautiful seating in the inside.
Sounds like a food hall, right? Well… yes but it is fancy and lit like a beautiful restaurant and the food is AMAZING!!!!!!
For lunch here I would budget 1000 yen for an adult at lunchtime and double that for dinner.

It makes it a really easy place to go if you have a large group and everyone wants to do their all thing but still all gather together for a meal.
It’s also an easy way to combine drinkers and non drinkers.
It’s also a good way to not have to bill share with big eaters ( or big spenders.)
There are also beautiful new restrooms everywhere and a lovely view of the city ( particularly at night.)

For those with children, high chairs are provided.
Please note that there may be smokers sitting near you if you dine at this communal food floor after 2pm.
